The royal edinburgh military tattoo is set to take place from 1st to 23rd august 2025. 23 august 2025 and celebrate the heroes of the tattoo and our greatest hits from the last seven decades as we celebrate 75 years of the royal edinburgh military tattoo.  Held from friday, august 1 to sunday, august 25, 2025, this spectacular show takes place at the edinburgh castle esplanade, with the historic castle as its stunning backdrop.

Help us mark 75 years of the royal edinburgh military tattoo in 2025! This iconic event, held annually at the stunning edinburgh castle, is a highlight of scotland’s cultural calendar.the tattoo features performances from international military bands, with parades and musical spectacles that captivate audiences from around the globe. The royal edinburgh military tattoo’s 75th anniversary show, the heroes who made us will run from 01 to 23 august 2025.

Each year you can expect stirring performances of the massed pipes and drums and the massed military bands that emerge from the huge castle gates, playing the inspiring battle tunes of scotland’s famed regiments. The tattoo team are busy planning their 2025 show, which marks 75 years of the royal military tattoo, and the milestone show, heroes who made us! Almost 1,000 musicians, pipers, drummers, singers and dancers perform at the edinburgh tattoo on the esplanade.
